San Juan National Forest, Silverton, Colorado. - For us midwestern flat-earthers, the Ice Lake Basin Trail was a hell of a hike. One of the toughest I've done. 8 miles round trip and gains ~2,500' of elevation to over 12,000' at the top. Arriving at the trailhead later than we hoped, we knew daylight would be an issue. No stranger to night marches, we pushed on knowing the way down would be in the dark. Made the lake at around 4:15 and caught the sunset on the way down. ~5.5 hours total with lots stops for photo ops. 10/10.
